Planning Board and Council Hearings

State law requires at least one hearing on the proposed Plan amendments at the Planning Board and one additional hearing by the City Council. In order to help expedite and coordinate the process, the City intends to accomplish this through two "joint" hearings.

The dates of these hearings are only estimates at this time, and as the program moves forward, specific dates and times will be announced. Unlike "work shops" these two hearings are formal proceedings and will establish the record upon which City action is taken on proposed Plan amendments. Accordingly, members of the public will be encouraged to participate and offer comments.
